What does Krka's cleaner do?
- collects waste along the banks of the rivers Krka and
Čikola,
- separates waste into different elements,
- analyses the selected waste elements / collection location,
- prepares the collected waste for recycling / disposal,
- reports daily to the program educator on what has been done,
- devises methods of analysing and reporting results,
- prepares a report on the completed program,
- contributes to raising awareness of the local population
about the negative consequences of waste disposal in the environment,
- contributes to the preservation of the nature of the Park
area,
- records and reports to the expert service the findings of
strictly protected plant and animal species,
- in case of finding dead animals, reports the finding to
nature conservationists and the professional service, and participates in a professional trip.

When can you volunteer?
From August to October.
What are the working hours of volunteers?
Four and eight hours a day, between 9:00. and 17:00.
What qualifications should a volunteer have?
- students of the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering and
other related fields,
- preference for spending time in nature,
- swimming proficiency,
- teamwork skills,
- computer skills, and
- expressed communication and presentation skills.
What languages the volunteer needs to know?
Mandatory knowledge of Croatian and English. Knowledge of
another world language is welcome. Volunteers from foreign countries can
volunteer only if they can understand and speak English.
Possibility of volunteering for disabled people
Due to the natural configuration of the terrain, the
workplace is not suitable for people with disabilities.
Where volunteers work?
Volunteers will perform activities at predetermined
locations along the banks of the rivers Krka and Čikola, as well as Torak Lake
and the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane.
Accommodation
The accommodation is provided at the volunteer centre in the
Krka Eco Campus in Puljane. The campus is located 53 km from Šibenik, 23 km
from Knin, 21 km from Drniš and 7 km from Oklaj.
Food
Meals provided (two meals a day).
Transportation
Local transportation within the Park is provided - the Park
will provide transportation of volunteers from the place of their accommodation
within the Park to the location of the volunteer activities.
What can volunteers do when they are not volunteering?
- explore the natural wonders and cultural and historical
sites of Krka National Park,
- explore other protected areas, areas of the Natura 2000
ecological network and cultural and historical sites in the area,
- learn about the customs of the local community, and
- use social facilities on campus.
