Nature Park Medvednica Nature Park Medvednica

The Explorer of the Amphibians of Medvednica

Did you know that Medvednica is home to the frogs we call the yellow-bellied toad, whose pupil is in the shape of a heart? They are the species of amphibians which we are monitoring at the moment so that we can promptly react to the potential reduction of their population. Considering how small and frightened they must be, and due to the Park’s vast area, your help is needed to find and monitor them.

You might get your hands a bit muddy while chasing the frogs in the puddles of Medvednica, but washing them later will be a pleasure knowing you have done something good and useful.
